1. Venues
As Singapore is a very small country, it is important for us to utilize all the venues available for the programs. Many programs are held in place like The Esplanade and The Merlion Park as they are the landmarks of Singapore and there are also many other beautiful buildings surrounding that place and create more artistic atmosphere. Also, not only places with famous landmarks are used. Some events are held at the heartland areas, example Yishun, so that residence can participate in the events too.

2. Amount of Sponsors
Singapore’s Arts Festival engaged more partners and sponsors as compared to Hong Kong’s. I feel that it is important to have more sponsors as there will be more funds for other promotion and also by working with television station like Mediacorp Channel 5 and OKTO Channel, it will create more awareness on the event. With little amount of sponsors we may not have enough funds or budget to do advertisement or event promotion to inform the public about this event.

3. Sales Promotions
I feel that Singapore has better sales promotion than Hong Kong as they have special promotions for student and senior citizens unlike Honk Kong which only special promotions and privileges for Hong Kong Arts Festival MasterCard holders only. They should try their best to attract more people to participate in event like this. Other than that, Singapore also has promotion for the purchase of package tickets of four. This will attract family to purchase the tickets especially when these events are held during the recession period and most people are cutting down on expenses. With discount like these, it may attract more people to participate.

4. Blogs
A blog is a new way of advertising the event to the public. A blog is also a website where the public can read all about the festival when they wish to know more about the festival and the free or even popular programs that are lined up for the public.
